For this special occasion Enrico recruited the best italian jazz musicians in a superband!

Enrico RAVA, has always been involved in the most different  experiences, he  appeared on the jazz scene in the mid-sixties, rapidly imposing himself as one of the most compelling soloists of the European jazz. His human and artistic sincerity puts him outside of any scheme and makes a rigorous musician but careless of the conventions. His style is immediately recognizable, his lyrical sound constantly sustained by an astonishing freshness of ideas which are revealed in all his musical endeavors.

The 32 year old pianist Giovanni GUIDI, former partner of many adventures with Rava, since he was 19 years old, leading his  own groups with whom he recorded three albums already in the house ECM  is one of the most respected musicians of his generation, always in search of  solutions as an improviser, composer and bandleader.
A shining example of Italy's latest generation of jazz talent, Giovanni Guidi was named “Best New Talent” by Musica Jazz in their 2007 poll “Top Jazz.”  He has released several critically acclaimed albums and has performed in many important festivals, both within Italy and internationally.

Gianluca Petrella is considered one of the world's finest jazz trombonists.  He has appeared with musicians such as Steve Bernstein, Bobby Previte, Greg Osby, Carla Bley as well as Italians Roberto Gatto, Antonello Salis, Gianluigi Trovesi, Francesco Bearzatti, Paolino Dalla Porta, Paolo Fresu, Danilo Rea, Enzo Pietropaoli...and the list goes on.  A fixture on the international scene, he has appeared in many of the most important international festivals, including Montreal, Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, Rio de Janiero, Oslo, London, Berlin, Umbria Jazz and the Blue Note Jazz Clubs of Tokyo and New York

Francesco Diodati belongs to the large crowd of young italian jazz musicians in rising (not only national) success. The most peculiar aspects of his “artistic way of living music” are: strogly clear ideas and a  strict desire to share his musical language with other musicians belonging to his generation. What Diodati gives to jazz music is a contemporary approach in which the sense of history and a huge auditory universe live side by side. Electronic effects, wisely used and built on skillfully technical competence of  acustic and electric guitar, reflect a new idea of music that expand “six strings” physical borders.

Gabriele Evangelista  is a very young bass player who Rava met at the jazz workshops in Siena.  He's growing by leaps and bounds and is very much in demand with Italian and international musicians such as Roberto Gatto, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Alessandro Lanzoni and Danilo Rea for his extraordinary gifts (interplay, boundless creativity and great precision).

Enrico Morello is a drummer by the polished drumming. He can count on a strong academic training and on a long series of international experiences, rare for the largest number of his equals in age. He plays his instrument with strong passion and extreme competence. He is an inquiring musician. His love for tradition gives him, not only, an amazing “swing ability”, but also a great sense of dynamic choices. At the same time, he is a musician who looks forward, always occupied in a personal research, from jazz to the rest of musical universe.
